I'm starting my first post by talking about something i like a lot.... nature: green surroundings, shady blue sky, colorful flowers, sweet chirpings: the very thought is delightful.
its very common yet marvelous to see sunlight filtering through branches of trees, amazing shades of green in plants, the dark and deep chocolate brown woods: umm...delicious sight :)
and i wonder just how conveniently we ignore this gift of God and keep running through errands complaining, criticizing..
every time we look at sky, we can find a different shade of blue..a different image..a different mood.... worth capturing, worth marveling at..
rains are like icing on the cake, appeasing all five senses..crystal drops glazing across bright, fresh plants, sweet tinkering sound, intoxicating muddy aroma..little birds shrugging and fluttering their wings in puddles signaling its playtime.. :p
a walk in the cool, breezy twilight hour under the orange sky cut off from all the high-tech gadgets and other daily tensions brings me closer to myself and fills me with an unbeatable energy..walking down the trees has a mystical feel..everything silent yet communicating..watching a squirrel in action is another delight...the way it shoves its tiny fluffy tail in a frenzy, gobbling up li'l tit-bits is a cute thing to ponder over..
looking at flowers gives a feeling that they are smiling...the least one can do is smile back.. :)
catching up these li'l marvels in life have a healing, rejuvenating effect..everything seems to be in perfect sync, in perfect bliss...
Thank you God...i feel blessed... :)

Nice thoughts.. But dont u think this bliss is location specific. U might be lucky to live at place with ample greenery and well laid roads but all are not so lucky.. For some tree are a distant wonder while muddy roads become unwalkable with rain.. People living in noisy places can't enjoy the chirps.. while in todays dog eat dog life theres harldy time left to connect with nature.. But still.. Nice thought.. :)
well that was precisely my point, to sustain your peace of mind and sanity in this dog-eats-dog artificial world, its essential to re-connect with nature, just think how many times people go to a mall n movie n how many times to a park or something open-spaced n there still are trees along-side most roads, u can still catch birds sitting on phone wires if not tree-branches,sky is still all pervasive....finally ,as they say, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder... :)
Hey Nidhi..can't express the sentiment in exact words but this post brought a smile to my face_the spontaneous kind..it was wonderful reading about your love for nature..so simply put..all coming from the heart. These are the kind of things which make my day, things which reaffirm my belief in the fact that people still THINK "IN" THEIR HEARTS..
and apropos of what varun*bear serk* said..U HAVE TO FIND TIME..U HAVE TO TAKE OUT TIME varun..dont you..?\
Moreover, one doesnt really need to take out time to CONNECT with nature..we are "connected",already!it's in our very being! It's just that we take it so much for granted!
One does'nt need to go to a forest/park/green pastures to enjoy the beauty of nature..it's all around us..the very air we breathe, the water we drink, the morning sky, rain showers, those cute lil puppies on the road, squirrels and birds on our very own campus..we are blessed with all..all we have to do is observe and savour what we have..and yes..make an effort to put an end to the ruthless sabotage of nature.
**the 200 cc FUN RIDE contributed a great deal to what you cribbed about bear serk! did'nt it? think about it..... ;) ;)**
my apologies varun...for calling u bear serk..i thought its nidhi's classmate n my senior varun..:D :D...BUT!! i stick by the rest of the stuff i've written.
nice try...
just wanted to leave a word...
"Kinshuik Sunil Was Here"
i am working on soem college stuff.. so havnt gone thru the content.. will do that in a day or two.. but now, u r in trouble...
what i feel is that we have to understand one thing: man and nature are not separate... one exists for the other... alas! its the misfortune of the-always-there-for-yous that they hardly get noticed..
so it usually turns into a bye-bye-li'l-squirry... or the What-tree-is-that?... even the Nice-flower!-*plucks*.. or the worst... I-can-see-only-traffic-pollution-corruption-crime-blah-blah-Where-is-God?
whateva...
the point i m driving at is... there is a lot out there which needs to be preserved... a lot that is just there and yet underrated... its all there.. bt we dnt even notice... and keep trying to find the special spark and the special something for bliss and wholeness...like nature... its there, but u have to make an attempt to observe it.. feel it.. not because its unobservable.. but because... we have grown so tangled in a concrete jungle... that the human amongst us cannot find his natural habitat...
i wonder if i made sense... i normally dnt :P
bt at the least u have captuerd that emotion well... it indeed is a sight to behold...
rise and shine!
:D
